Yes, yes...I know it has been almost a week since Valentines Day but I was just too busy feeling loved to write any new posts.
So anyway, Jake is one of those terrible people who hates Valentines Day because it is a 'Hallmark Holiday' and whatnot so like most years, I really wasn't expecting more than dinner at Olive Garden....but this year I was wrong!!
Oh but wait!
First, I got to feel loved at work when some of my little kiddies brought me in some treats.
Okay now back to the date :)
When I got off work at 7, I went home to change for a simple dinner. Jake came over to get me and drove us to the Outback on the very opposite side of town (which just had me a bit baffled since there is one 5 minutes away from our houses). When we arrived, one of the employees brought our food out to the car and then we were off again.
Next thing I knew we were at his Dad's home a garden store (which is a reallllly beautiful and cultured store) and he took me to one of the more Indian looking rooms where he had set us up a little place to eat with some fancy shmancy champagne. After we ate, we talked, played around, danced (he had 'our song' all ready to go: Come on Get Higher by Matt Nathanson), and then went to go see The Vow (which, honestly, just wait for it to come out on DVD and rent it). Oh...he also gave me a really neat little elephant to add to my obsession collection.
The whole night was just so lovely.
