Alycia, at my favorite blog, The Curious Pug has started a new weekly feature- "Would You Rather...?"
Although I'm already participating in two features right now, I couldn't pass this one up. This week, she asked:
I probably thought about this answer much longer than I should have but my conclusion came to be that I would rather live out of my car for a year.
At first, I thought that I'd rather go to jail because of the provided food, shelter, and showers however I decided that those pros would be outweighed by the cons.
Living out of my car could be an adventure. Even glamorous if you make it so. I understand that there are countless hardships that are attached to this decision but I would be able to travel, work odd jobs, see whoever I want, have my boyfriend and my puppy with me...but most of all the traveling. If people can backpack across across Europe, I can caravan across the United States. I admit, its not my style but at this point in my life, with no kids or serious commitments, it would be a much, much better option than having no freedom in a jail cell. Plus, for any doubts, there is this little list taken from Sarah at Bitty Bird that gives useful tips on how to survive out of your car.
